Who is Addicted to Veggies?
Before there was Addicted to Veggies there was just me – SarahfaĆ©.
A girl with food allergies, a horrible relationship with
her body, an even worse relationship with food --frantically searching for a
way to “get better”.
My first initial discovery of raw food was a puzzling
one, being that I had no idea what it really was or what it actually meant to “eat raw
food”.
But I was desperate to get healthy, to find lost energy, and to fall in
love with food.
I knew I had to jump in head first, so I did. Oh boy did
I ever.
From that point forward (over 3 years ago now) I
discovered so much more about myself. Things I never thought existed.
What’s the best part about this hullabaloo?
I get to share my love of food with you!
To me, that’s the most important moral of this story.
I can’t help it, I’m a giver.
What is Addicted
to Veggies today?
Above all, Addicted to Veggies is a recipe website; a
place to encourage you (whoever you are) to take pride in making yummy food from scratch, to try new things in exciting new ways.
Really?
Raw Food?
If you think that Raw Food means crunchy, cold, boring fruit
and vegetables – then you’ve come to the right place to get proven wrong.
A lot of the Recipes you’ll find on AtV come with warming
directions for the dehydrator and the oven. I mean, who wants to eat cold food
all of the time? I certainly don’t want to.
AtV is not about “don’t eat this” and “don’t eat that”
But you don’t want to
eat Raw Vegan Food?
That's okay!
Addicted to Veggies is here to show you a new method of preparing fruit and vegetables:

If you want to add non-vegan products to an AtV recipe then
do it!
I’m not a bossy pants, and I love the idea of recipes
being a canvass to add your own personal flair and flavor to.
I’m not the raw vegan food police. No siree.
I’m just a gal who loves to eat, and wants
nothing more than to share this with as many people as I can.
New to Addicted to
Veggies?
I’m doing more and more “Staple Recipes” these days.
What’s a Staple Recipe?
Imagine opening your refrigerator, k?
Look inside...
Do you see all of those condiments that most people have;
eggs, dairy, cream, cheese, butter, sweetener, etc.
Those are the ingredients that go into a LOT of different
types of foods, right?
Addicted to Veggies has it’s own version of those Staples!
You can find an expanding list of these Staples (complete
with links to the full recipes) by going over here:
Last but not least…
I always want to hear from you. Whether it’s feedback,
questions, personal stories, recipe inspirations, or whatever else may be on
your mind. So get in touch with me!

You are adorable! I am so glad I get to be a part of this beautiful food revolution you produce with each recipe. You are such an inspiration to me and I'm so glad I found your blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is my new favorite blog.

ReplyDeletei was about to leave your blog with the standard thought of "that was really cool. i enjoyed browsing through that. that girl's got it going on.... *click*", when i suddenly wondered how often people actually get told how much others like their work.
ReplyDeleteso here i am. by the comments, it seems apparent that there is no shortage of happy and impressed followers, which is great, but as someone who was about to do the typical anonymous 'browse and run' thing that is so easy to do now in our increasingly faceless society... someone who then decided to fly in the face of her interwebs-browsing MO, i thought it could be nice for you (and anyone out there in the ether reading this) to think about all the people who DON'T leave a comment on your deliciously colourful, informative, charming blog, even if they really like it.
so, without sounding totally didactic and "above the unwashed masses", i'd like to give you a hearty cheer and encourage you to consider how many people around the world you've made smile today.
gives you a little tummy-glow, doesn't it? :)
keep up the lovely blog - i shall be passing your details on to several vegan and vego friends, and adapting many of your staples into my limited 'fun-free' diet.
xx
