I've been keeping things fairly simple in my kitchen this week - not intentionally. I've been coming into contact with some seriously beautiful locally grown produce, and sometimes veggies should just stay whole and simple - right?
Especially where today's post is concerned.
Special thanks to Willow Creek Organic Farms for making their lovely Figs and Tomatoes available at my Farmers Market last week. I may not have known at the time of purchasing them what I would do, but putting them together in today's recipe was a no brainer! Another wonderful thing about this recipe (outside of its contents) is that you have the option to make it all by hand.
No Food Processor needed!
Step 1.
Take a Fig, and slice it in half...
(If you don't have fresh figs on hand try very ripe Pear, Apricot, or even Mango!)
-
Step 2.
Take some yummy Cherry Tomatoes, slice those up, toss them with fresh Parsley or Basil, a little bit of salt, pepper, and your favorite Oil and Vinegar.
I used: 1 tsp of Grape seed Oil & 1 tsp of White Balsamic Vinegar for about 1/2 c of sliced Tomatoes.
-
Step 3.
Make one of the following Cheezes:

Step 4.
Put it all together!
As much as I hate to Dine and Dash...er, Recipe and Run, I have way too much to catch up on today!
...Just as soon as I eat the contents of those photos.
