Banana Carob Milk!

After the daily workout, I headed to the kitchen as I always do to make my traditional "post sweaty-time drink"...but for some strange reason I didn't feel like having the usual berry/green/hemp powder smoothie...nope. I wanted something different. I wanted ice cold chocolate milk. Sadly I didn't have any fresh Almond milk on hand, but I did have a few over ripe bananas that hadn't found their way to my freezer yet. So here's what I did:
Banana Carob Milk
(makes one serving)
1 & 1/2 c Banana (roughly 2 small bananas)
3 to 4 heaping Tbsp Carob powder
2 Tbsp Coconut Crystals //or// 3 Medjool Dates soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 c Ice
1 c Cold Water (1/2 c more if you prefer a thinner drink)
Puree until completely smooth

  1. oh my gosh, looks AMAZING!! and i LOVE that you didnt use almond milk-i personally just never got into it.

butttt i DEFINITELY miss chocolate milk so looks like you just gave me the best breakfast idea EVER!!

  2. Wow! Man, I like your style. That looks delicious.

  3. Wahoo! Thanks Nichole & Marja! You gals are too nice!

  4. oh. yeah. I love this and make it all the time. Frozen bananas make it even better.

  5. omg. this sounds incredibly delicious. thanks for looks pretty heavenly too!!!!!

  6. Thanks for the comment Nelly! It was yummy!

  7. MMMMMMMM...! Just saw this and had to whip one up. I had stomach problems all day and found this totally did the trick! It was sweet and creamy and smooth and really settled my stomach. I added one extra date because I wanted it extra sweet. It was perfect. I shared it with a friend and we argued over which was better tasting, this one or his precious chocolate soy. I think this one for sure. I will be sure to make this anytime I am craving chocolate milk or have a tummy problem! lol

  8. Just made this and it's very delish! Dates are such a good energy booster. Thanks for the idea.

  9. Hi C & Kelsey!
Thank you both for the comments - sheesh, for making it too! I love getting feedback, even if it's not always beaming. :)
